 what is Encryption? 

Encryption is the process in  which the information is converted into secret code that hides the information's true meaning.

                                                            

In computers, encrypted data is called ciphertext(public-key encryption), and the unencrypted data is known as plaintext(secret-key encryption). The method used in encoding and decoding is called encrypting algorithms.

                                            

Importance of Encryption

Encryption plays an important role in securing many different types of information(IT).

  • Confidentiality encodes the message's content.
  • Authentication verifies the origin of the message.
  • Integrity proves the contents of a message have not been changed since it was sent.
  • Nonrepudiation prevents senders from denying the sent encrypted message.
